There is a Kingdom that has always been, and will always be. It is found in the heart of Jehovah God who has no beginning or end. He lives in eternity, and rules over all that exist. Before time began, before you were born, God had an eternal purpose for your life. The only way to find and fulfill this eternal purpose is through a relationship with The Eternal King, Jesus Christ. This blog is about The Eternal King and His Kingdom. It is about how you can be part of His Kingdom by having a relationship with Him, and fulfilling His eternal purpose for you.

MEETING THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE

Living in the Power of the Kingdom
ENABLES YOU TO
MEET THE NEEDS OF PEOPLE

They wandered the roadsides like homeless men, but those in need came to them.1   It all started with a man who had no concern for himself, but a deep burden for the needs of others.  He left his steady job as a carpenter and became consumed with helping people become part of The Kingdom.   He gathered a group of followers and began to teach them about living in The Power of The Kingdom.  Because of His compassionate love for others He demonstrated The Power of The Kingdom  by ministering to every request brought to Him.  He taught His followers not to be concerned about their own needs because Father God  promised that if they made living in The Power of The Kingdom their number one priority every need they had would be met.2  They just needed to live daily in a committed relationship to God.  Who was this group of men?  Jesus  and His followers!3

Those who spend time with Jesus each day grow to become like Him.4  They are secure in the knowledge that God  loves them and will take care of every need they have as they seek to live in obedience to His Spirit.   Because they are secure in God’s  love they have a compassionate love for people and a desire to be used of God  to meet the needs they see.  Out of their relationship with God  they come to realize only God can meet the real needs of people. The Power of God’s Kingdom  can flow through them because they have grown to know God, and they allow God’s Spirit  to live in them and guide their  lives.  They know it is this Power from God  that can solve the problems of the world.  They are aware it is the world’s only hope, not people or governments.  Fellowship with God  enables them to see the true needs, not just the wants of people, because they see them through God’s  eyes.5   When ministering to people they are careful to point to God as the real source of the need being met because they know God  gave them the ability to meet the need.6  Those who spend time with Jesus  are able to meet every request for help that comes to them because they know they can do something even if it’s simply to pray for the need.7

Do you want to meet the needs of your world?  If you know God, He is calling you to be the answer to the problems of the world around you.8 He wants you to grow to know Him so His Spirit can guide your life, and His Power  can flow through you to meet the needs of those who request help.  If His Spirit lives in you, you can always meet a need even if it’s just praying for it.  Living in God’s Power is the way you can meet the needs of your world.

Question: Are you living in fellowship with God so His Power can flow through you and meet people’s needs.

VICTORY OVER THE ENEMY

Living in the Power of the Kingdom
MEANS WE HAVE AUTHORITY OVER
 OUR ENEMY THE DEVIL

The Apostle John who was one of the twelve that followed Jesus during His earthly ministry,  said this about why Jesus came, “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.1  Through His daily walk with Father God, Jesus had continuous victory over the enemy of men’s souls. Whether it was physical, mental or spiritual infirmities, He destroyed the devils work everywhere He went.2  One of His greatest concerns was the false religious ideas that the enemy planted in people’s hearts that hindered them from entering The Kingdom.  He constantly in Word and Deed sought to tear these things down.  This included taking a whip and attacking the accomplices of The Temple religious system that tried to take money from those who sought to worship God. 3 He showed His ultimate Power and Authority  over satan by defeating death and rising from the grave.4

When He sent out His followers to do the work, He told them they had the same Authority  He had. Their reports indicate their lives produced the same results.5  Peter displayed this Authority when he spoke to Ananias and Sapphira.  These two members of the early church tried to lie about giving.  At Peter’s word God struck them dead.6  Paul the Apostle displayed this Power on Cyprus when a Jewish sorcerer tried to hinder the message of Jesus.  At Paul’s word God struck him blind.7

As we continue the battle for people’s souls God calls us to display the same Power  and Authority Jesus and His early followers displayed.  Christ said, “The person who trusts me will not only do what I’m doing but even greater things, because I, on my way to the Father, am giving you the same work to do that I’ve been doing.”8  Faith comes from fellowship with God.  Our fellowship with God should produce victory over the enemy in our own lives.9  This personal victory will enable us to walk in The Power  of The kingdom , and tear down the enemies’ strong holds in the world around us by what we say and do.  It will enable us to give a clear message that removes the strong holds in people’s lives keeping them from entering The Kingdom  and living in Its’ Power.  When God demonstrates His Power  through us people can see the enemy defeated.  This will help them enter The Kingdom  and defeat the enemy in their lives.  The enemy of people’s souls is the root cause of every problem people face.  In Jesus’ name we have Authority  to overcome him and set people free as we live in The Power of The Kingdom.10

BASED ON WHAT JESUS  TAUGHT, YOU NEED TO ASK: Are you living in the Power and Authority  over the enemy that Jesus  gave His followers?  Is God using you to destroy the works of the enemy of people’s souls by what you say and do?

THE "MARTHA" ANOINTING

THOUGHTS ON THE ETERNAL KINGDOM
 The “Martha” Anointing
            Rita’s thoughts

A few years ago I wrote an article on “The Naomi Anointing”.  I said that I would rather be a Naomi than a Ruth.   While at a go-cart track the other day somewhere between the beating sun and the roar of the carts it came to me that I tend to have a ”Martha anointing”.  Now we all know that to have a “Martha, Martha anointing” is to be too busy and not paying attention, or taking time for God’s Word, or spending time in prayer and quiet things.  Isn’t this what most people think?  Haven’t most of us put Bible characters in boxes and branded them with the worst mistake that they ever made?  What is the first thing you think of when you hear the name King David.  Naturally you think of his affair with Bathsheba or how he disposed of her husband.  Then there is Samson and his affair with Delilah.  And don’t forget Peter and all his wrong turns.  It goes on and on.  Of course we know the great things they did, but we tend to hold the bad things a little over their heads.  We do much the same with Martha.

In the Bible Martha was a busy person.  She was a doer, an organizer, a fixer, a planner and loved helping people in every way she could.  (Luke 10:38-42)  In fact from the way you look at the scriptures her first priority was to do her best for everyone else.  In “The Message” Bible it says, “As they continued their travel, Jesus entered a village.  A woman by the name of Martha welcomed Him and made Him feel quite at home.”  It is not often in the Bible you read of a welcoming such as this.

In John 11, when Martha heard that Jesus was coming after Lazarus died, she went out to meet him alone.  She wanted to share with him what was on her heart. She told Jesus that if He had been there her brother would not have died.  (Her faith was so strong that she knew Jesus would have never let that happen.)  Then she let her faith rise up in her again and she declared, “I know that whatever You ask God, He will give You.”  Wow, what a statement.  She was so full of faith.  And then Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.  I like this verse in John 11:5, “Now Jesus loved Martha and her sister…….”.   He knew the faith of Martha.  It doesn’t mean He loved her more.  You never know, but perhaps the faith of Martha was one of the reasons that Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead.

If someone has jokingly called you a “Martha, Martha” now you can look at them straight in the eye, grin real big, jump up and down if you feel like it, and thank them profusely.  They will wonder what in the world you are doing.  Then you can tell them about the “Martha Anointing”.

Let’s be careful not to brand anyone on their failures, but look for the anointing’s in their lives.

WE NEED TRANSFORMATION

Thoughts On The Kingdom
THE CHURCH NEEDS TO BE TRANSFORMED
 NOT JUST REVIVED

God’s Church needs transformation not just revival. It needs to be transformed from a group of man-made institutions led by men and their ideas to The Body Of Christ led by The Breath of His Spirit.1

The transformation will be similar to the pain of childbirth.  When it is over She will be The Bride Of Christ without spot or blemish ready for His return.  Then He will come and finish establishing His Kingdom on this earth.2

THE QUESTION YOU NEED TO ASK: Are you ready to be transformed from what you are into what God wants you to be?

Scripture References: 1 Romans 12:2, John 3:8; 2 Romans 8:14-22, 2 Corinthians 10:3-6, Ephesians 5:15-21 & 25-27, 1 Peter 4, Revelation 11:15-18 & Chapter 19
